I’ve been reading a lot about this little secret, and I’m sure you’ve been hearing about it also.  So I decided to let you in on a few of the things the secret teaches.

You see, it’s not really a new secret at all.  It was born out of a very old book and has to do with the law of attraction.  The Law of Attraction states that “like attracts like.”  Which means that we will attract what we think about, how we feel about ourselves, and what our actions say.

For example. If you are always thinking that you are a few pounds overweight, you will always be a few pounds overweight.  The alternative way of thinking is to think that you are looking very good, and are losing a little weight every day.  Then visualize yourself at your new weight. 

It’s not a hard concept, it’s just a hard thing to do.  It means that every negative thought you have must be identified and turned into a positive one.  In order to do this, you first have to identify when you’re having a negative thought, and that’s where some people fail.

The secret is about getting what you want, but it over-simplifies things just a little.  You can’t just look into a store window and wish for the diamond necklace and then - just get it.  There’s a little more energy that needs to be put into these things.  They are not immediate, nor are they always the exact thing we wanted.

Most of us have a hard time controlling how we think, that’s why it’s important to always read new things, and get new ideas and inspiration on the correct way to think, visualize and receive.  New things, from new people re-energize us and give us someting new to put to the test.
