When Bad Things Happen to Good People

when bad things happen to good peopleWhen something bad happens to a person, they may tend to overstress even though they cannot (or could not) do anything about the situation. There are a lot of “ifs, ands, what ifs and why me’s” that can go through your head at a difficult time. But remember, sometimes bad things happen to good people!

Unfortunately, you cannot undo what has been done. The best things to do is move forward and continue to work on what needs to get done at the present time. It’s not always possible to do at first, but if you dwell too much on the past you can never move into the future. This may cause you to have anxiety and panic attacks.

It’s a good idea to try to ward off anxiety before it takes over your life. Otherwise it will become the normal for you and you won’t even know how much it is affecting you.

If you already have anxiety or panic attacks, you should be able to work through them. If you need help, there are a lot of products on the market today that can be help reduce your attacks. However, be aware that it will not be easy. You need to WANT to get rid of your anxiety – and then take it slowly and surely so it doesn’t come back.

People who suffer from anxiety and panic attacks have a hard time living a full life because they’re always afraid that something bad is going to happen. Even if nothing bad happens for an extended period of time, there is still that fear of the unknown.

But have you ever wondered why everybody doesn’t have this fear? Bad things happen to good people all the time; no one is immune to the unexpected as life goes on. Something you don’t like is bound to happen sooner or later. But most people don’t concentrate on the “what if something bad happens.” They just go through life and if something happens they deal with it as best as possible.

Like I said earlier, if you are already suffering from anxiety, it may be a way of life for you now without you even knowing it. You need to start to really concentrate on what you think about every day. Are you thinking negative thoughts throughout the day, or thinking about what bad things might happen today? If so you need to take a step back and start a more positive thinking way of life.

Once you have gotten rid of the negativity and the fear of the unknown, you will be able to enjoy life as it happens and the world will be a better place for you to live in and enjoy.

Lucid Dreaming Fast Track Review

how-to-have-a-lucid-dreamI just finished going through Rebecca Turner’s new Fast Track Lucid Dreaming system which includes “The Art of Lucid Dreaming – The Pursuit of Conscious Dream Control,” and I have to say I was amazed at all of the NEW information and step by step guidance she provides in this new system. I’ve been doing lucid dreaming for quite a while but there were things in this book that that I did not realize were possible!

For example I really had no idea that there was such a thing called the wild technique. As Rebecca explains it:

“WILD is also referred to as the Mind Awake / Body Asleep technique, it enables you to enter a lucid dream directly from a waking state. This is method is often used by out-of-body explorers and, depending on subtle differences in induction, can either lead to lucid dreams or out of body experiences.”

She not only goes through the basics of keeping a dream journal and remembering your dreams, which is a very important first part of lucid dreaming, but then she goes through some dream symbols and a lot of other beginner to advanced lucid dreaming information.

For example if you constantly dream about animals, or being chased – maybe falling, flying or other things, she gives you an explanation of why you might be dreaming about these things.

There are actually quite a few dream symbols explained in the book from the very basic things people dream about often, to a few very odd things.

Rebecca says that lucid dreaming is like “taking a creativity pill” and I have to agree with her once again! You can do anything and everything while you’re inside a lucid dream. She also teaches you:

  • how to stay in lucid dreams longer
  • controlling your lucid dream so you can have the lucid dream you want
  • increase your ability to travel through time
  • talk to your subconscious mind
  • . . . and much more!
  • It’s AMAZING how much you can do when you have a lucid dream – that I was not aware of before.

    In fact I did NOT know that you could talk to your subconscious mind while you were lucid dreaming. I guess as the author of “Directed Dreaming – Success from The Subconscious,” I should have considered that option, but it just never occurred to me that you could get into your subconscious while you sleep, as well as when you lucid dream!

    Later on in the book she gives you a few more challenges to do – but she doesn’t just challenge you to fly with perfect control or run through walls! There are actually 10 challenges that she goes through step by step and tells you exactly how to complete them.

    This is from her own personal experience (she’s been lucid dreaming since she was 14!). You can bet if you try to do the things like she’s done them you will have better success in not only doing these things, but in creating your own new adventures.

    I suppose this review wouldn’t be complete without telling you that she does have a section on lucid dreaming sex also. It appears that a lot of people don’t have success with having sex in lucid dreams, and there’s a good reason for that. Get her book today and you’ll know why this may be happening to you, and how to fix it!

    This is just a handful of things that you’ll find in her book – but that’s not all you get with this system. There’s also a hypnotic recording which is a Guided Meditation MP3. This meditation piece not only goes through a sleep process, but it also walks you into inducing a lucid dream, and getting into the dream.

    So while you’re listening to the MP3, you’ll actually practice lucid dreaming and GET INTO this suggested dream! This is exciting because once you’ve actually gotten into a lucid dream – even if it’s one that’s being suggested to you – you’ll know what to expect and again, be able to more easily get into your own dreams.

    If you REALLY want to have a lucid dream, my advice is to do the MP3 a few times and get a feeling for how it’s done. You’ll also get a written version of this guided meditation so if you want you can take it and make your own dream. Just memorize the steps, practice a few times, and you will know how to have a lucid dream of your choice.

Can Positive Affirmations Get Rid of Frown Lines?

I noticed the other day as I was taking off my makeup for the night that I’m getting frown lines! Me? I’m always smiling. Well, actually, I used to always smile when I worked outside the home, and had contact with other people. Now I’m mostly just sitting at the computer working away in silence – not too much to smile about. But other than using an efficient anti-aging cream, how do I combat these lines?

The one thing I’ve decided to do is to go to bed with a smile on my face. This is easy to do because most of the time, instead of watching TV at night I do a Brainwave Entrainment CD. Meditation is proven to help you relax, so this gets me a little out of frown mode!

Then, right after I go to bed I lay there and say my self help affirmations. These aren’t anything I’ve bought and repeat to myself hoping they will work. I really don’t think a “canned” list of affirmations work very well because they don’t come from the heart. And, even though I’ve used some of the suggestions made by others, I have adapted them to what I feel, and what I believe will come to be.

I have a few belief affirmations that have to do with believing in being divinely guided; and that “I will always be in the right place at the right time.” Then I have the ones that have to do with being successful and happy. It’s at this time that I begin to smile – thinking about just how it will feel when I achieve these goals. I end my affirmations with a smile on my face.

Now, this may or may not help my frown lines, I really don’t care. But that smile makes me feel good as I go to sleep; it also helps me clear my mind for the day. And actually, by the time I’m done with the affirmations, I’m asleep! I never have a problem sleeping, and I never have a problem smiling!

One other thought before I leave you. Do you think that if you go to bed smiling you will wake up in a bad mood? Now, I’m not going to say you will just lay there and smile all night, but something does happen when you go to sleep in a good mood. I can’t put my fingers on it just yet, but I’m happy to just share this with you and hope you make it a practice in your night.

Do Your Daily Affirmations Make You Yawn?

daily affirmationsHow you feel when you lay down at night and start to say your daily affirmations. Is it a good feeling or do you just say them methodically like you were running through a list?. And how does your brain react? When I first started doing affirmations, I did them in the morning; I had a list that I read through, and every morning before I started work I read through the list. But for some reason when I got to about the third point I started to yawn. And unfortunately, as I continued to read – I continued to yawn.

I don’t know what the real reason is for this. But I didn’t want to stop reading the affirmations and after a while, as they became clearer in my mind and I began to believe them more, I didn’t yawn as much – in fact most days I didn’t yawn at all. The fact is, the more successful I became the less I yawned when I did my affirmations.

Now, even if I do my affirmations while lying in bed, I don’t yawn anymore. In fact, as I do the daily affirmations, I smile, get myself in a good mood, visualize myself having what I’m affirming, and basically just get in a more positive mood to believe that what I’m saying is actually a possibility.

Now you may be thinking that I go through a 10 min. affirmation list and that’s what makes me tired, but that’s not the case. My daily affirmation list is a list of ten items. And now that I’m smiling and going through them with a higher energy level, they not only make me feel good about what I’m doing – they are also starting to come true.

I guess what I’m trying to tell you, is that when you do your affirmations, don’t just read through a list. Read them with energy! In fact one of the other things I used to do, is to jump up and down a few times and really get my mind moving and my blood flowing before I did the affirmations. It helped me get into a state of mind where my energy was high, my excitement was high, and when I was done, I was ready to get to work.

So really think about what’s going on in your head when you’re doing your daily affirmations. Don’t just read through your list every day in a boring attempt to make your dreams come true. You need to believe and feel every word that you read, and soon you’ll see that the more you believe the more things happen!

History and Advancements in Brainwave Entrainment

Brainwave EntrainmentEveryone in the self help world has more than likely heard of some type of subconscious or subliminal programming technique. In the beginning there were tapes that played loud music in the background while someone whispered positive affirmations that were just barely audible. These never worked very well for me because that whisssss pering sound drove me nuts! There’s really no way to hide the “s” sounds when you’re whispering!

Actually, you can whisper positive affirmations to yourself daily and it would probably do the same thing. I am a firm believer in affirmations and usually do them right away in the morning when I get up, and again just before I go to sleep at night. My daytime ones are more like a cosmic ordering session, while the night time ones more resemble prayers and also a thank you for what has been received.

If you only ask for more things and never give thanks you will not get that sense of accomplishment that makes you feel proud at having achieved something.

I think Isochronic tones may have been developed next; they were probably the stepping stone for brainwave entrainment systems. But Isochronic tones in themselves are also not that helpful because they are beats of a SINGLE tone. And while it may be possible to slow our brain down to concentrate on this tone for a while; brainwaves are very dynamic and they very quickly get bored of a listening to something so simple.

Today subliminal programming has advanced to include higher level brainwave entrainment techniques. I have tried the Brain Ev program and I must say that it does work. It not only helps me relax, but also calms my brain down enough so when I do start to think again I get ideas that make good sense! And not only are my new ideas sensible, but when I act on them they bring about powerful consequences. For example, resolving outstanding issues or coming up with a new and profitable idea to market.

That’s why it’s nice to have a combination of things going on if you’re going to listen to Brainwave Entrainment CD’s. I said before that I use the Brain Ev system and it works because it has a combination of Binaural Brainwave Entrainment, mixed with Isochronic tones and something called Temporal Brainwave Entrainment which helps your brain settle down a bit and become more in tune to what you’re trying to accomplish.
