Best Goals to Have In the Pursuit of Success

persistance1.gifFirst of all, I want to say that I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a few weeks. I made my yearly trip to South Dakota to visit my Mom, siblings, and new babies to the family, and just about got blown to Kansas! The weather sure is strange this year. It still hasn’t warmed up in Seattle.

I thought it might be a good time for an article on persistence, since some of us (including me) tend to  forget our goals when the sun comes out and we just want to play. . .

But remember when you were a child and wanted to do something, go somewhere or own something? Did you just ask your parents once for permission or to buy what you wanted? Of course, you didnt. You were persistent. You asked as many times it took to get what you wanted.

Your every thought was directed at getting that one thing …and the sooner the better!  Succeeding in anything requires that kind of unrelenting persistence. It doesnt matter what the goal is….business, sports, your love life….persistence is what makes it happen.

The dictionary defines persistent as… “Refusing to give up or let go; persevering obstinately.”

Being really persistent requires developing a kind of tunnel vision so that our entire focus is on the goal and we can see nothing but finding the way of achieving that goal.

Unfortunately, when striving to reach any goal there will always be challenges awaiting,  hurdles to be jumped, or, even the occasional unavoidable detour.

Much like a roadmap that shows us the way to get from point A to point B, our best laid plans wont show us all the holes in the road, or obstacles along the way.

However, the only way to lose when attempting that goal, even if you have a good plan, is to stop working toward it or to return to square one and start on something else.

Persistence assures your arrival at your desired goal.

Persistence is fueled by passion. Its always a good idea to check just how committed and passionate we are from time to time. If that passion needs to be rekindled so that we can stay persistent in pursuing our goals we need to throw some fuel on the fire.

If in the past you have failed to achieve your goals, that means you probably didn’t know all five facts of success or haven’t applied this information into your life. Right now you have the possibility to have an upper hand for a new start as you learn these 5 facts of success!

Go for it!
