The Egg Myth Doesn’t Belong at Easter Time

Happy Easter Everyone!

I Love Easter eggs!  In my opinion, there’s nothing better than those little colored eggs, even if it really is just a boiled egg disguised in a pretty shell.

It seems that the idea that you need to restrict your egg intake to two a week is really just an Urban Legend! A recent National Heart Foundation’s review has shown that egg nutrition is part of a normal and varied diet and now has no general restrictions on them.

This is great news for me because eggs are one of my favorite foods, and they are rich in natural vitamins, easy on the digestive system, protein rich, low in sodium, and contain essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals.

Not only are eggs nutritious, but also are quite versatile for cooking. Whether you are looking for an egg salad or hard-boiled eggs, there is an endless number of things that you can do with the common egg.

So, have fun this Easter, and enjoy those pretty eggs!
