The Most Important Thing to Remember about the Subconscious Mind

I’ve been reading a lot lately about human psychology.  What interests me is not so much why people do the things they do, but the fact that so many people do things the same way.

For instance, I read that when you look at a computer screen, you are most likely to be interested in what is in the top left of the screen (marketers take note, if you want to do subconscious mind advertising on your web site, your best ad should be at the top left).

I think this happens because most of us have been trained to read from left to right.  But people who have been retrained to Speed Read do not read this way.  Speed-readers read an entire block of text at one time, or go back and forth with their reading, instead of just left to right.

The point I’m trying to make here is that most people will continue to do things the way they were originally taught, even if a better way is found.  It takes about a month of doing things differently to change a habit (26 days to be exact), and even longer to change your subconscious mind thinking — because it has to be constant, conscious effort.

It is very important to constantly be on the lookout for better ways of doing things.  Your mind IS programmable, and you have the power to choose what goes into it, and what you accept, and/or what you are willing to change.

That is why affirmations are so important.  The mind is constantly taking things that happen and forming beliefs, which affect the way we perceive reality. As soon as you accept an input as reality, it becomes reality.

For example:  If you’ve ever had a job where your boss was constantly putting down your work and telling you it was no good, eventually, even if you were a top producer before, you will begin to believe that you are no good.  This is because both your conscious mind and your subconscious mind start to believe this is true.

My advice:  Start looking for a new job immediately!  It takes a long time to build up an ego, and very little time for someone else to shoot it down – permanently!

So, here’s the one thing you should always keep in mind:  Whatever your conscious mind assumes and believes to be true, your subconscious mind will accept and bring to pass. So, believe in good fortune, divine guidance, right action, and all the blessings of life.

Always focus on the positive, don’t let anyone put you down, and do affirmations to help distinguish negative thoughts.
