Did you know that positive and negative emotions cannot occupy the mind at the same time?
Notice, I did not say positive or negative thoughts, thoughts come and go in our head at a million times a second, but I said EMOTIONS!
Emotions are different, and they can sneak up on us. The worst part though, is that Negative emotions more easily voluntarily inject themselves into our thoughts, where as Positive emotions MUST be put there manually, so to speak.
There are 7 positive emotions and 7 negative ones. Whenever you are feeling the negative one taking over, you need to replace it with the positive one in order to live a happier, less stressful life.
So, always be aware of how you are feeling, and try to replace any negative emotions that have crept into your life with a positive one immediately. You’ll soon be doing this automatically, and it will feel GREAT!
